Daily dose of Lush...Shine So Bright

Aloha Amigos!
Ok so this is a product that is perfect for people like me who mistreat their hair! I treated mine so badly due to straightening and bleaching that I've recently had to chop it all off into a pixie cut... however! This can be prevented with one little Lush Balm...
Shine So Bright is a hair balm to help treat split ends. Nothing is going to be able to get rid of split ends, apart from a few inches taken off the bottom with a pair of scissors, but you can minimise the damage and prevent any more from occurring by rubbing a small amount of this balm into the ends of your hair using your fingers.
Made with coconut oil, olive oil and shea butter it adds moisture to your hair and also doubles as a hair perfume too! Neroli oil, rosewood and grapefruit oils leave the hair with a fruity floral fragrance.
Not only do I used this for my split ends but I love using it on my fly aways! Now I have short hair there seems to be quite a few so I use this balm to calm them down and hold them in place and it works wonders!
When I recommend this product I always get asked if it makes your hair appear greasy, but because you're only using it on the ends of your hair (or for fly aways) it's never as issue. The ends of your hair are always the driest area so a little balm is going to help moisturise it and make it look beautiful!

Has anyone ever tried it?

Daily dose of Lush...Movis Soap!

Hello! Another new product today - Movis :D
This has very quickly made it's way into my daily skincare routine. I love it!
Created by Mo Constantine and inspired by two of her passions - soap and baking! - Mo Constantine made this wheat filled face soap. I will admit, at first I was definitely put off by the idea of bread being in my soap but my mind quickly changed when I started using it.
Made with wholemeal bread to exfoliate and revive the skin, and wheatgerm oil, hop oil and cocoa butter to soften the skin.
There's two ways you could use it, you can play with it in your hands using water to create a creamy lather or for a good scrub, wet your skin and use the bar directly.
Apart from how soft and moisturised my skin feels after I use it, I love that it's squidgy! I can't describe what it feels like... it's a bit like the sponge layer in a trifle?! It also smells like a cheesecake biscuit base and reminds people of banana bread, soo yummy! haha
What better then a little present with your name on it? Perfect!

My winning combination at the moment is using Ocean Salt for a good scrub and using Movis afterwards to give a nice layer of moisture to my skin.

Anyone had a chance to try it out yet?

Daily dose of Lush...Parsley Porridge Soap

Hello guys,
I hope you're enjoying my Daily dose of Lush and not getting bored of it! I've got another new product to talk about today - Parsley Porridge Soap!

When this post goes out there will be 3 new soaps in Lush stores - Parsley Porridge, Mangnificent and Movis! Posts to follow on both of these, but exciting newbies! Wohoo! There will also be 2 more soaps coming out within the next few months... ooohhhhhh
Parsley Porridge is an antibacterial herbal soap packed full of lovely ingredients such as parsley, thyme, tea tree oil and aloe gel to help cool and sooth the skin with an added extra of fine oatmeal to gently exfoliate.
Because of it's antibacterial properties, I'd call this a 'Kitchen Soap' but it would also be perfect for those who have spent too long in the sunshine and have a sore bit of sunburn or those who suffer with spotty skin problems. The aloe gel and tea tree and going to be lovely and calming for your skin and keep it nice and clean at the same time!
At first I really wasn't a huge fan of the scent but it's definitely growing on me. Personally I would still only use it for washing my hands when in the kitchen but I really love the antibacterial, antiseptic and soothing properties of this soap so it's definitely going to be one I keep stocked up on over summer! (Just in case of burnt shoulders and noses!)

Have you guys tried this soap yet?

Sleek Makeup Ultra Matts V2 Palette Look!

Hello!
I thought there's been a few Lush posts recently so lets break it up with a makeup look!
I've gone back to my Sleek Makeup Series and done a look using only eyeshadows from the Ultra Matts V2 Palette. This is my favourite palette from Sleek and comes with me whenever I go away, I love it! I don't know why I haven't done a look with this palette sooner, it was so easy! There's so many different choices which would've all made lovely looks but I fancied adding some blue eyeliner so went for a subtle pink/purple too :) hope you like it.
I love using matte eyeshadows, I find these ones by Sleek blend really well together which makes life a whole lot easier! For my base I used NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk and applied Dune to the inner half of my eyelid and Flesh to the outer half.
Next I used Maple in my crease and blending it upwards into Pillow Talk which I used as my brow highlight. To darken the outer corner I use a little bit of Highness but mainly Villan using a small pencil brush.
Under my eyes I used Maple and Villan, on my waterline is Stila Smudge Stick in Stingray.
To create my blue winged liner I used Lush's Control Eyeliner which I love!
Mascara is Urban Decay Supercurl Curling Mascara and Eyelashes are Princess Lashes from Born Pretty Store.

I hope you like my look! I absolutely love the V2 palette, it's definitely the easiest palette to get complete looks out of and I'm a huge fan of matte shades anyway so perfect for me!

Daily dose of Lush... Lush Kitchen Zest

Hey guys!
Today's post is on a new hair styling product which will be making it's way into Lush stores very soon...Zest!
Zest is a hair gelly which you would use in a similar way to hair gel. You can take the whole thing out of the pot and play with it in your hands to get some product or just stick your fingers in it! Rub it into your fingers and then apply to your hair.
Zest has a medium to strong hold and if you like a slicked look this is perfect for you, if not then use it sparingly! I have recently cut my hair short and I love this product! I rub a little into my fingers and then get messy with my hair! A quick brush later and a little playing and it gives me the volume and messy look that I want. At first it can appear quite greasy looking but give it a little time to sink in!
When I first saw the bright yellow colour of Zest I instantly expected it to be a sour lemon scent so I was pleasantly surprised to find out it's actually made with fresh organic orange juice and sweet wild orange oil!
It smells like freshly squeezed orange juice, reminds me of a lazy Sunday breakfast :) amazing!
I was lucky enough to get this when I went on a haircare training course with Lush. It's not out in stores yet but it won't be too long now! Will keep you posted :)

Will anyone be trying this when it comes out?

Daily dose of Lush... Granny Takes a Dip

Hellooo!
Ok this one I am really excited about! Granny Takes a Dip is my current favourite bath bomb, and I haven't even used it yet! Now that's saying something...
The swirly, mesmerising goodness of this bath bomb is enough to make you want to take it home. Let alone, the (somehow chocolately) uplifting and spicy scent it creates and the deep pomegranate colour it turns the bath water! This bath ballistic will have you in the bath so long you'll come out looking like a wrinkly granny!
Here's a demo in photos!
Aren't the colours gorgeous! I didn't manage to get a photo of the colour of the water but I'll stick one up soon! It goes the very deep purple you can see coming off the bottom right of the green centre - absolutely amazing!

Granny is a ginger, pepper and lemon scented bath ballistic which sounds like an unusual choice but don't knock it till you've tried it! To me it smells almost chocolatey, to others it reminds them of Candy Sticks or Fizzy Cola Cubes! Whatever it reminds you of, it smells lovely either way :)

A perfect bath ballistic for a rainy day...
What do you guys think, have you tried it yet?

Daily dose of Lush... Ocean Salt Review

Hey guys, I've had an idea! This doesn't happen often...
I recently started my new job at Lush and I wanted to incorporate my lovely job with my lovely blog, so I'm going to start doing some 'Daily doses of Lush' which will involve reviews, demos and Lush Cocktails! How does that sound? It's a bit different from my usual make-up looks but I think it will be nice to mix things up!

So I'm going to start with one of my latest loves, Ocean Salt Self-Preserving!
In many liquid products, Lush use safe synthetic preservatives to give them a longer shelf life and as happy as Lush are to use them, some customers would prefer to avoid them so Lush came up with 4 new self-preserving versions of these popular products (and promises of plenty more to come).
Ocean Salt is a face and body scrub, lovingly hand made with fine sea salt and vodka soaked limes which makes it smell like a margarita!
The sea salt is excellent for scrubbing away any dead skin, whilst the avocado butter, extra virgin coconut oil and seaweed absolute leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft, and the limes and grapefruit infusion removes any excess oils which leaves your skin looking fresh and brightened!
To use, all you need to do is rinse your skin with warm water, scoop and scrub! It will start out as a great exfoliant and once the product has softened with the contact of the warm water, it will turn into a creamy lather - I love this part! Straight away your skin feels unbelievably soft.
Isn't the colour beautiful!
This is my favourite skin care product at the moment and I love demo-ing it on people because the instant softness impresses everyone, I love the surprised reactions!

Have you ever tried Ocean Salt? What did you think of it?
