Glitter Me Pink Eyeshadow Look!

Hey guys, I've got another makeup look for you today, I hope that's alright!
This started out as something completely different to what it actually is. I was trying to do a look based around an Inglot shade but it just wasn't sparkly enough for me.
Obviously when something isn't sparkly enough what do you do? Add glitter! I hope you like it.

To begin this look I used ELF primer and NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk as my base.
When using bright colours I always use my NYX JEP in Milk as it makes the colours more vibrant.
I started by adding Meteoric (Sleek Celestial Palette) all over my eyelid, and Maple (Sleek Ultra Matts V2) to define my crease.
As my 'main' colour I added shade 613 from Inglot over the inner 2 thirds of my eyelid - where the glitter is now.
To darken the outer third of my crease I used Flora (Sleek Garden of Eden Palette).
To highlight my brow bone, and blend out the crease colours I used Blanc Type by Mac, and applied Pink Jewell (Sleek Lagoon Palette) to the corner of my eye to highlight.
Next I applied Eyeliner, which was Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Perversion.
This is when I realised I wasn't completely happy with the look, and decided to add glitter! I've never been able to get on with glitters before so I was chuffed when it worked! I've never been able to find a product that's worked for me and the glitter, to get it to stick to my eye and not crease or dry out and fall off!
FINALLY I have found a product (actually my sister bought it for me for my birthday!) So, I used Bellapierre Clear Eyeliner Base to apply my MAC glitter in Pink.
Onto the few final steps... I added my Max Factor Excess Volume Mascara and Eylure Lashes in #100. I touched up my Perversion eyeliner and added Stila Smudge Stick in Stingray to my waterline and voila! My look is complete :)
So that's today's look, I hope you like it! Now I've found a glitter base I can work with I can't wait to see what looks I can do! Prepare for more glitter...

Sleek Celestial Palette Look!

Hey guys!
I finally got around to doing a look using Sleek MakeUps's Celestial Palette, but then I noticed that my last 4 posts were all Sleek MakeUp looks so I've held this one back a few days!
I tried to do so many looks using just this palette but I think I was having a few off days. Finally I've done a look I'm happy with and it would have been perfect for Valentines, but nevermind! There's so many 'Valentine's Look' posts I didn't really want to join them so I stayed away! I hope you like my look...
Really I should have shot this look during the day, but I always seem to get inspiration at night - It was so shimmery and pretty it's a shame the camera didn't pick it up as well!
Anyway, here's my look! It's a shimmery, smoky pink/purple eye with subtle black liner and lashes.
The super sparkly palette! I love the matte/glitter combo shades, even though it does leave a bit of fall out they are so versatile! Great for adding colour into the crease, whereas shimmers are so forgiving.
L-R: (top row) Solar, Astral Blue, Aurora, Galactic, Earth Shine, Dark Matter
(bottom row) Stargaze, Saturn's Ring, Meteoric, Terrestrial, Lunar, Eclipse.
My favourite shades from this palette are Aurora - gorgeous teal green with glitter, and Meteoric - Matte deep pink/ terracotta shade.
My lease favourite, definitely Terrestrial. If the pigmentation was better it would be an amazing shade, because it's so different. But I guess that's why it's so hard to find! The pigment in pastel shades usually are lacking umph!
I started with Meteoric all over my lid and up into my crease, then darkened my crease using Saturn's Ring and Astral Blue. Next, I took Solar and packed it onto my lid, making it soo sparkly and gorgeous! I took Meteoric and Astral Blue onto my lower lash line also and Stargaze and Galactic in my inner corner to brighten the eye.
I darkened my crease for a more dramatic look using Earth Shine and used Dark Matter for my eyeliner.
My eyelashes are Eylure's #100, which I picked up in John Lewis for about £4! So cheap in there. Mascara as always is Mac Plush Lash and Benefit They're Real.

And that's the look! I hope you like it, and I can't wait to get some more looks going!

Vice 2 Palette Look #1!

Hello!
The lovely Miss Louise from Lilting Grace asked me to do some looks using my Vice 2 Palette, so of course I will! I've had this one ready for a little while now, what a perfect time to use it! I will try and get some more looks out using my Vice 2 Palette asap!
If anyone ever wants to see a look, using something I've got then just let me know and I'll be more than happy to oblige!
I didn't have great lighting so sorry for the bad photos, I will do some more looks soon!
For this look I used X-Rated, Voodoo, Habit, Coax and Betrayal.
I also used Psychedelic Sister from my Book of Shadows II.
This is under different lighting, so you can see the beautiful pink colours!
Lashes are Eylure 100, mascara is Mac's Plush Lash and Benefit They're Real.

Hope you like the look Louise!
PS, I tried to comment on your blog but because you use Disqus it won't let me - it's always had a problem with Disqus! Never lets me comment on anyones!

Christmas Past Eyeshadow Look!

Hey guys!
As promised, here's my look using all my new products from Born Pretty Store!
I wanted to start doing some Christmas looks but for some reason my brush went straight for the gorgeous pastel pink colour! This look reminds me of everything from my Christmas past. When I was little I wanted Barbie dolls, jewellery, makeup - anything as long as it was girly! And I always lovely my Christmas party dresses!
All the colours I used were over ELF primer and NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, and they all came from the P88 Palette from Born Pretty.

I thought I'd make life easy and show you the colours I used in this look :)
I also used my princess lashes in M-3 which were so easy to wear and they looked great too. Sometimes eyelashes can be quite heavy on your eyes, and can make you look half asleep because of the weight of them however it wasn't the case for these little lovelies!
All the colours were very pigmented, even the baby pink which I couldn't believe! I also used the darkest purple on my waterline and with a bit of Mac's Fix+ I used it as an eyeliner too!
The only brushes I used were the ones from Born Pretty! The pencil brush and fluffly angled brush were a dream to work with. The C brush needs a few washes to try and soften it a bit! It was a little harsh on the skin but it packed eyeshadow on brilliantly.
I thought this look would be great with some sparkle so I used a mix of a lilac and silver cream glitter from a halloween wet'n'wild palette for a touch of sparkly eyeliner.
My mascara as always is MAC's plush lash and Benefit's They're Real.

I can't wait to do another look using this palette! I have so many ideas!
I hope you like this look, don't forget to check out the born pretty store and use GEG10 for 10% off!

Disney Series: Sugar Rush Land from Wreck-It Ralph!

Hellooo lovely people!
I finally have another look ready, wohoo! And lots more in mind that I can't wait to get started on!

I got so excited when Wreck-It Ralph came out on dvd, it's by far one of the best movies Disney has released in ages! I love it! It came out just at the right time too, lined up perfectly with Sleek's Candy Collection! A Sugar Rush look just had to be done!

I took inspiration from a photo I found on google, the idea came straight into my head and I couldn't wait to finish work and come home to play with my makeup! It was literally the first thing I did!

I love it when I'm this excited about a look, I can't wait to share it! I hope you guys like it too!
I picked out the green and pink mainly and used the purple from the twirly lolly pops for a little extra colour! :)

The Candy and Ultra Matts V1 i-Divine Sleek Palettes were the perfect colours for this look! I've only used the Candy palette once and I'm already in love with it, I'll post a review on it soon.

If the colours weren't already perfect enough, the names of the are amazing too! Strawberry Sherbet, Bon Bon, Bubble Gum, Pear Drop, Mint Green, Flump... I love them, completely inspired!
Trying to show off some of that glitter! Hard to capture.
The colours I used from this palette were Apple Sour and Mint Cream on the lids, Strawberry Sherbet, Bon Bon and Aniseed for crease and above the crease, Bon Bon underneath the lower lashes and Cream Soda in the inner corner.

I also used my Ultra Matts V1 palette, and used Cricket and as a base shade for my lid and Bolt on the outer third of my lid. I used a mix of Pucker and Pout as a base for the more glittery pinks in the Candy palette, and also as an eyeliner on my lower water line. I used Floss to blen out the pink and Pow! as my highlight shade.

I tried out my new Eylure #100 lashes, and as I expected... they're amazing! Really lightweight and easy to apply. I used the glue it comes with for once and it was amazing! I usually use Duo Glue but this definitely gives it a run for its money. I'm not sure if I'd trust it all night, but definitely good for blogging. Goes tacky very quickly though so work fast!
My eyeliner is by Collection 2000, it's a fine liner pen in a gorgeous purple! Suits the look brilliantly.

I hope you like my look! Please leave me a comment if you do, and if you have any ideas of characters I could do next, let me know! x

MAC HAUL!

Hey Guys!
I was going to do just one haul post but it got too big! So here's all the Mac I've accumulated recently!

Rhythm - Lipglass
FAVOURITE THING EVER. Oh my gosh it's the prettiest pinky purple in the world! This Lipglass came out with the Temperatures Rising collection from MAC (look at the pretty tube!) and for the life of me I have no idea how much it was! My boyfriend bought it but I think it was roughly £15. It's called Rhythm and is just so so amazing! I've worn it over Speed Dial and Lime Crime's airbourne unicorn and it looks amazing over both! Here's some more pretty pictures!

Imperial Light - Cremesheen Glass
This is the type of lipgloss I would happily wear everyday! It goes with every neutral, coral or orange based lipstick and is soo purdy! It's got amazing coverage so can be worn on it's on and still look stunning! I love wearing coral tones on my lips, and having this in my bag makes for easy touch ups during the day! It's a beautiful creamy coral with golden shimmer. My perfect shade!

Mineralized Skinfinish in Lightscapade
If I could, I would have babies with this. Bright, sparkly babies! I am a very pale girl at the best of times, always get asked if I'm ill! NO! I'M PALE! The more contour and colour I get on my face, the better! This beautiful highlighter gives me a HEALTHY glow! It's such a pretty shade! It has a subtle shimmer and a small amount of very fine glitter which looks beautiful and very natural on the skin. It's not got any over powering colour either. A beautiful highlighter! A staple product in my makeup bag now, I love it!

Pink Glitter - Baking Beauties
I was so excited to start using this product that the first time I opened it I was a DICK and dropped loads of it over my boyfriends bed! Oopsie! This was over a month ago and we're still finding it everywhere!!! Haha
This was a definite magpie moment. It just looked amazing! I am still in love with it, and really want to be able to do something with it...but I can't! I go so upset and down when I did a whole look for it to go over, went to add the glitter and just couldn't get it to stick! I tried every trick in the book, every product going and nothing was doing the trick! I was so brokenhearted I had to ring my boyfriend! I love all the looks using glitter, and couldn't wait to do one but it just ended up looking like a huge mess! D': maybe I can add it to my lips or nail art maybe...

Sushi Kiss - All About Orange
I was so excited about this collection when I heard it was coming out! I went straight online to have a look at some sneak peaks to see what I wanted to get, and gave the list to my boyfriend so he could go and get it the day it came out! haha We don't have a Mac on the Isle of Wight so I'm very grateful that my boyfriend's got one near him! I love corals and orange shades and my favourite lipstick (up until now) has been Vegas Volt which is a very bright orange! This isn't as bright, but still stands out! I was overly excited when I got these, so sorry I didn't have enough patience to photograph the lippies before I used them! Top right pic is with the flash on by the way :) The lipstick has a satin finish which means it stays put that little bit longer but does look more matte and can be slightly drying, so if you have problems with dry lips then I definitely recommend a lip balm or gloss to go over the top!

Sweet & Sour - All About Orange
My new favourite shade! On my God it's so perfect! Pink's always seem quite bright on me, I'm not sure if it's my complexion or what but I've always been fonder of wearing coral tones. I've always preferred neutral eyes and coral coloured blusher so this finishes the set! It's a very muted shade with a lovely finish. It's a cremesheen which means you might not get as long a wear out of it but it's easy to touch up and it you apply lip liner underneath first it should give it a better hold!
It's slightly sheer compared to sushi kiss butt that's to be expected from it's finish.
Photo on the right has been taken with the flash on, and I have no idea how I've managed to mess up the lipstick so much already! there's so many cuts in it and I've only worn it a couple of times! I must learn to look after my things!
Because it's a cremesheen though it is a lot softer, so you might realise that you'll go through them a lot quicker than other lipsticks! It takes more product to get a completely covered lip, that a matte or satin would!

Ok so that's my MAC Haul! I love the collections they've brought out this summer! Can't wait to see what other beauties I'll pick up!

Thanks for Reading :)

MY OPI Nail Polish Collection!

I don't think I've ever been more excited to do a post! I LOVE OPI Nail Polish, and at the moment I'm suffering from Glandular Fever so I'm not really up to doing a makeup look, so I thought I'd do a post on my lovely polishes :)

I'm gutted some of the pictures aren't great and SORRY my nails are in such bad condition, where I work it's hard to keep them looking great! And as much as I tried to apply the polish well, for some reason I decided to do it on my right hand, which meant painting with my left?! WHY! So Apologies!

MY O.P.I collection is only 36 polishes at the moment, but I only discovered them 2 years ago, so I guess it's grown quickly!

If anyone wants to see a look using one or some of the polishes then comment below and I'll try and do something with them for you :)

Click on the pictures for a better look!

1 Coat

Start-To-Finish Base and Topcoat - I used 1 coat of this under every swatch, and it is by far the quickest drying base coat I have ever used! Massive Love!

3 Coats

Number One Nemesis -  This one is only a mini, Look how cute it is! I bought a few from The Amazing Spider Man collection, and I have to say, as much as I LOVE Spiderman and O.P.I, I was so disappointed! None of the colours were as nice as I was expecting! On the packaging, it says 'Show your metal in this sparkling nickel.' I would definitely recommend using a base colour and applying this colour as a finish, its much too thin to use on it's own unless you like layering up!

3 Coats
The World Is Not Enough - From the Skyfall collection, I have to say this is another one I'm disappointed in! It's a lot like Number One Nemesis and definitely needs a base colour! Described on the packaging as 'This rosy silver is as addictive as it is beautiful.' I disagree... (good start to a post ehy?!)

2 Coats
Your Royal Shine-ness - Such a beautiful metallic silver! Super super shiny and looks amazeballs. From the Serena Williams Grand Slam England Collection.

1-2 Coats
Alpine Snow - OK I LOVE this white! It looks like tipex which is pretty much what I wanted! I always use it as a base when I do marble nail art and it really makes brights and neon colours pop! It was one of the first O.P.I's that I bought, which would explain why the formula now sucks! Not their fault, mine! It's gotten a bit too thick and I need to thin it out before I use it again properly, but I absolutely love it! From the Soft Shades Collection.

2 Coats

Stranger Tides - From the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection, This is a really weird colour! But I kind of love it... It comes out a little streaky but it makes a really cool base for nail art, using greens and golds. It looks so different under different light, but its a murky, off grey, zombie-esque green! It's pretty awesome... I've never seen another green like it!

2 Coats
Mermaid's Tears - Also from the POTC collection, this is by far one of my favourite colours! If I want to paint my nails but don't know what to do with them, I just reach for this colour. It always gets amazing compliments and if the almost-pastel mint green colour wasn't cool enough, the name will make you want to buy it! Jus' casually walking around with MERMAID'S TEARS on my nails... normal day.

2 Coats
Live And Let Die - turned out to be one of my favourite from the Skyfall collection. It doesn't look that great in the bottle, but as soon as you apply to your nail, the glitter really comes out in the polish! It's the type of glitter you would be able to get away with at work, it just gives it a nice shine instead of being really in your face! It says 'Burn the candles at both ends in this private jet black.' I definitely wouldn't call it jet black, more of a green tone but the gold glitter is definitely reminiscent of a flickering candle!

3 Coats
Just Spotted The Lizard - was the colour I was most excited about it the collection! It pretty much looks like spilt petrol in the bottle but sadly it doesn't show on the nail! Only the greeny-gold colour shows. Described on the packaging as 'Be seen in this reptilian yellow-green' Which I guess does describe the colour the shows up on your nails, just a shame the pretty blue doesn't! :(

2 Coats
Ogre-The-Top-Blue - From the Shrek Collection, is a bright bubble gum blue! Gives amazing coverage and looks super bright on the nails! Love it!

2 Coats
Last Friday Night - From the Katy Perry Collection is a blue, holo, glitter in a jelly formula. It's definitely only a top coat, but does have a slight blue tinge in the jelly itself. This and Alpine Snow were my first two O.P.I's! Such a pretty glitter, but is a bitch waiting for it to dry!

1 Coat plus OPI Start-To-Finish Top Coat

Turquoise Shatter - This is a beautiful colour for a shatter! I own a couple of the Barry M ones but they're all very bland! This one had beautiful shimmer in it and with a top coat it looks amazing and shiny! I should've really swatched it over a different colour so it would stand out more buuuut I didn't.

2 Coats
Into The Night - 'This perfect midnight blue was made for prowling.' Pretty much sums up the colour! This for me was the colour I was least looking forward to from The Amazing Spiderman Collection, but turned out to be my favourite! It was the only polish that seemed to apply evenly and didn't disappoint me!

2 Coats

Grape...Set...Match! - From the Serena William's Grand Slam England Collection is super pretty! A dark purple/pink glitter with a lot of sparkle!

3 Coats

Rally Pretty Pink - Another from the Serena Grand Slam Collection! I think I was in America when they came out, so picked up a few! This colour inspired my last Eye Look. A really stunning, pinky purple with tonnes of gold shimmer! Looks so beautiful in the sunlight and amazing over a purple polish.
1 Coat
A Grape Fit! - My go-to purple colour! So simple and so pretty! Easy to apply, amazing formula - only takes one coat for a perfect coverage! Amazing! From the Great Pair Collection.

2 Coats
Planks A Lot - This is very similar to A Grape Fit! Just a bit more pastel. Still a gorgeous colour but probably easy to find a colour that's pretty much the same for a lot cheaper!

3 Coats
Significant Other Colour - THIS IS AMAZING! I am in love with this colour! It looks amazing on it's own, or over a purple, green, blue or pink base! It looks beautiful and so different over other colours. I need to find a nice yellow and see how it looks over that! It's a subtle lilac with amazing green duo chrome!

3 Coats
Princesses Rule! - My amazing friend got this for me for my birthday! Totally sums her up! Cute, Pink, Shimmery and Girly! From the Princess Charming Collection.

2 Coats - Streaky!
Your Web Or Mine? - Another from The Amazing Spiderman Collection! This pink is pretty standard. It's pretty, applied nicely but was super streaky! Doesn't really show up in the pics, but unless you're pro at applying polish, it will happen to you too!

1 Coat
Come To Poppy - From the Nice Stems Collection - really pretty pink! I'm not sure why I bought this one... I'm not really a pink kind of girl but I must have my moments! Amazing coverage, only 1 coat application.

2 Coats
Get Your Glamour On - This colour was designed for Glamour Magazine, I'm not sure why but its soooo pretty! A coral pink, which for me if the only way to go if you're going pink! I don't like being too girly! I think this was one I picked up from TK Maxx, I'm not sure where else I would have gotten one which was only for Glamour Magazine!

2 Coats
Love Is A Racket - Another Serena William's Grand Slam colour! I definitely liked them when they came out! I forgot to take a pic of this the other night so quickly did it now! Can't believe I missed one! To be honest I wouldn't mind this colour as a lip gloss! A dark pink packed with the same colour micro glitter.

1 Coat - added touch up for chunky glitter!
The Impossible - This is awesome. The liquid sand texture is pretty strange to me though! I live on an island, so trying to not get sand in your nail polish is something I usually try to avoid! However I do love this bright red colour, and the chunky glitter looks amazing. I love the little stars but they don't seem to want to come out of the bottle and when they do, they don't lie flat on the nail so it doesn't last very long! From the Mariah Carey, Liquid Sand Collection.

2 Coats
The Spy Who Loved Me - Another from the Skyfall Collection, this one caught my eye! I love the pillar box red with the teeny tiny gold sparkle! Very Unique! Added a blurry picture so you can see the glitter.

1 Coat
Danke-Shiny Red - From the German Collection, this Ruby Red is amazing! It looks so Royal! Big love for this colour, and only 1 Coat! Very Classy...

1 Coat
Wocka Wocka! - This one is pretty similar to Danke-Shiny Red but a little darker and not as shimmery on the nail. I got this one first, I LOVE The Muppets so couldn't not have anything from the collection! I do also have Pepe's Purple Passion but I've lost it!!! Soo gutted! No Idea where it's gone which is why its not included in this post :(

1 Coat
Every Month Is Oktoberfest - I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS COLOUR! Ohh it's so pretty! Imagine adding a bunch of shimmer to red wine. That's what this is. It looks so beautiful under every light and is the type of colour you can wear at any age, or anywhere. Loooooove this!

2 Coats
Tease-y Does It - This colour is so beautiful. From the Burlesque Collection, it can look very plain in the shade but under any light it shines! It's the colour I use to make my Christmas Pudding nails at Christmas! Works Perfectly!

2 Coats

Bronzed To Perfection - From the South Beach Collection, I got this colour is a set with a few other in TK Maxx. It wasn't the one I was most looking forward to getting, but I'm glad I've got it! It's a muddy bronze with gold shimmer and looks amazing with a tan!

2 Coats

Pros & Bronze - My final one from the Serena Collection... I think! A great mixture of sparkle going on here! A huge array of golds and bronzes! Very eye catching.

1 Coat

The Man With The Golden Gun - 18 carat gold top coat. I think that says enough don't you? I'm a very lucky girl! My Boyfriend got me this as part of my Christmas present and it's just beautiful! I love it but I don't want to waste it at the same time, dilemma! from the Skyfall Collection.

3 Coats
Golden Eye - 'All eyes will be upon you when you wear this glorious gold.' From the Skyfall Collection, a super glittery gold, which was obviously needed for a 007 collection! Looks amazing over the top of The Spy Who Loved Me, not a colour I would wear alone, coverage isn't that great!

1 Coat plus Start-To-Finish Top Coat
Gold Shatter - A really pretty colour but I don't really see why it's a shatter?! You can't really see past the glitter to see the pattern it makes, would make more sense if it was a shimmery gold polish rather than being pack with glitter.

2 Coats
Hot & Spicy - From the Hong Kong Collection, this is a beautiful coral-orange. A really pretty, easy to wear creamy colour.

I do have a No.36, but I've lost it for the second time! I have no idea where it is but its Pepe's Purple Passion from The Muppets Collection! On the hunt for it now...

I may do a collection post on my other Polishes... I have so many Barry M and Nails Inc colours! Will wait and see..

Love & Peace! x
