Fall / Autumn Inspired EOTD!

Hey guys! Seeming I've not done a lot of makeup looks lately, I thought I better post another! This one was inspired by all the amazing fall pictures I've been seeing on Instagram lately! I love this time of year, and I love autumnal colours, so here's a lil' look I've done, hope you like it!
One of my favourite eyeshadow colours is Maple from Sleek's Ultra Matts V2 which is the main colour for this look. To create the smoky shadow I used Paper Bag and Noir, and Pillow Talk as my highlight shade. The only colour I used which was not from this pallette was Sin from Urban Decay Naked Palette which I've used in my inner eye to brighten the look up a bit!
My lashes once again are Eylure #100's, I love them! I managed to get them from John Lewis for only £4, Bargain! Right I'm going to stop talking now and just add a few more pictures!
I hope you guys like my fall inspired look! I love being able to get away with wearing darker colours! You can never beat a simple smoky eye!

Halloween ideas!

Hey guys! I am soo excited that I'll be spending Hallowe'en in America this year!! I love Hallowe'en so I thought I might do a few Hallowe'en inspired looks! I've done a few practise runs so thought I'd show you a few things that will be coming up on my blog!
Red ombre lips! Perfect for Evil Queens or Vampires!

Werewolf! Obviously I would block out my brow but it's such a pain in the ass I only half attempted it! Some wolf-like contact lenses would be awesome with this look! I'm too scared to use them!

Pixie/ Fairy Look! Minus some awesome colorful lashes, bright eyeliner and glitter! And My Evil Queen/ Vampire look!

My Evil Queen / Vampire Inspired eye makeup! My favourite! I can't wait to do this one properly with some super intense raven-esque eyelashes!

So that's just a few of my ideas! I'll start doing them properly and hopefully get some blog posts out soon! I'm so excited for Hallowe'en! What are people going to be dressing up as?

New Hair! Back to Blonde!

Helloooo! Ok, I've been a bit MIA recently! Where I work, We have just had a refit and I've been working my ass off trying to make up all the hours I've missed whilst we've been closed! Although it closed at a great time, right over the Bestival weekend! WOHOO! I also went and go my hair done! I've been wanting to go back to blonde for a while now and I always said I'd be blonde for our holiday (to Florida in a month!) which I'm really excited about! So, here's my new look!
So here's my new look! I'm still trying to work out what I should do with my eyebrows... They seem a bit dark sometimes so I think I'm going to get a honey colour toner for my hair, and make the blonde colour cooler.
So this was my hair before I got it done. I had to go brown because the blue I had in it before wouldn't budge! It turned my hair a toxic green colour so brunette was my only option! I did love it, may have to go back at some point...

STEP ONE
OK it was a lengthy process! Because the roots wouldn't take as long to dye, he started by just applying the peroxide mixture to the hair which had already been dyed.

STEP TWO
Next up, he applied the peroxide mixture everywhere and stuck me in the oven haha

STEP THREE
Next up, washing my hair and cutting my hair! Whatever colour I had a year ago, didn't want to budge! So the ends were looking a bit orange at this stage! He decided to cut it now to see how much would be taken away, which luckily was quite a lot. I was a tad worried haha

STEP FOUR
Next step... applying more chemicals everywhere! Oh My GOD! 45 minutes of this on my head was making me go crazy! It was pretty painful! I was using the metal handle of the comb to itch my scalp with! You can definitely feel it working its magic! Hot, Cold, Bubbling... you name it.

STEP FIVE
I've ran out of photos! It was so quick. My hair was washed, and then a toner was used to get the blonde colour I wanted. Then a final cut and blow dry and 4 and a half hours later, we're done! I am so happy with the colouring! I'm going to pick up a toner with honey tones in to just dull it down a bit for winter.
I'm looking forward to doing some bright eye looks with my blonde locks!
Seeming I was at the hairdressers for almost 5 hours, and had at least 4 treatments and a haircut, I couldn't believe it only cost me £80!

Let me know what you think! I always love hearing from you, and don't forget to enter my giveaway here!

Teach Me Tiger EOTD

Hey guys! Sorry I'm posting this later than I thought, busy times! But exciting news, I got the final bits for my giveaway today! Wohoo! Will be up soon! :
So, this is an eyeshadow look I've been wearing lately using Teach Me Tiger from Dainty Doll which is the makeup range by Nicola Roberts, from Girls Aloud. (Don't judge it just yet!)
I managed to pick the eyeshadow up from Poundland! Bargain!
Sorry the photos are wonderful! I took them quickly before work and the light wasn't fantastic! The rose gold colour creates a beautiful smokey eye without being too over powerful for a daytime look. And if you've got blue/green eyes, this will really make them pop!
I teamed it with a few colours from my Naked 2 palette and Sleek V2 palette, I'd be lost without them! Also my Eyeko Skinny Liner, Mac Plush Lash Mascara and Benefit's They're Real.
Dainty Doll used to be sold in Boots and their eyeshadows cost about £11. I'm not sure if you can still pick them up in Boots but currently, Poundland has some amazing finds! I picked up 3 of these eyeshadows and 4 OPI Shatters!
This colour is so pretty, in the pan it might look a bit plain but applied it's much brighter and glittery!
This is a much better picture for the true colour of the product when applied on the skin. I love it! I've been wearing it everyday since I bought it and I've gotten so many compliments on my eyes! Definitely worth the POUND! Still can't get over the price...
So that's it! I hope you like my look, I'll hopefully get another one out for my Disney Series soon! I've missed doing them! And also my GIVEAWAY! I'm so excited to do it as it's my first one! I hope it goes to plan... haha

'Gold Smoke' Eye look...

Hey guys,
As you know, I wasn't very well last week so I haven't done any looks recently, so as soon as I started feeling better I was in my makeup chair!
The lighting wasn't fantastic, still getting yellow shadows, but I felt inspired the other night, and really want to use some products I haven't used for a while and play with the new lashes I made! So here's my look :)
It's a pretty simple look but the gold really does make it look stunning in person! I won't say too much about it, listing the products I used would take forever! They were from loads of different palettes because I was just playing around but this would be an easy to get look from using either the Urban Decay Naked or Naked 2 palettes, or Sleek Storm Palette.
Instead of using a matte white highlighter, like I usually do, I use a cream shadow with gold shimmer which definitely worked better than my usual go to! It actually seemed to make my eyes look bigger by taking the complete look higher, and using a darker shadow nearer my inner corner, and just using the gold on the centre third of my eyelid (and slightly bringing it in with my blending brush) made my eyes look a lot rounder too.
I made my false eyelashes using a pair I got ages ago from ELF which I'd never touched, and using duo glue, I added the gems which were from a nail art kit I picked up in River Island. They were my first attempt at making them so I was pretty happy! Although there's always room for improvement!
So that's my finished look :) I have fallen in love with my mascara from Benefit (They're Real) which I did at first hate! But wearing it over Mac's Black Lash makes my lashes so much thicker and longer! I love it!

I might start doing some tutorials of some of my looks, if you think it's a good idea then please leave me a comment and let me know!
Hope you've all had a nice weekend!

Makeup Looks that didn't make the cut...

Hey everyone, I haven't done any recent looks as I've had a cold the last couple of days but I'm looking forward to getting back into it! I've got lots of ideas!

Here's a few pics of makeup looks that I've done that haven't made it onto my blog :) Either I hadn't had enough good photos, or I wasn't happy with the outcome of the final look! If you like any though, leave me a comment below and I'll redo the look and post it up!
This look was meant to be one from the Disney series, for the snake from The Jungle Book, but I wasn't happy with it, it looked too normal! haha
This was my Ursula look from the Disney series, but once again, I wasn't happy enough with it!

So that's them, I'm sure I've got more looks but the pictures sucked! Hopefully I'll have some more looks up by the end of the week! I've already done one look, fingers crossed for another tomorrow now that I'm feeling better :)

My Every Day Makeup Look! + giveaway coming up!

Hey Guys ,
I've wanted to do this post for a while now but I always seem to be in too much of a rush to go out, before I have time to take photos of my look! Give or take a few shades, this is pretty much my every day makeup look!
I like to keep it pretty simple, with neutral tones on my eyes to make them look bigger, and a light pink lip so my face has a touch of colour, I'm a very pale person!

I'll put a post up soon with pictures explaining my makeup routine but for now I'll near enough just list what I use.
Face
Primer: Collection 2000 - Primed & Ready Smoothing Primer
Foundation: MAC - Studio Fix SPF 15 in NW10 (told you I was pale!)
Concealer: Collection 2000 concealer in Fair
Powder: Rimmel - Stay Matte in Translucent
Bronzer: Mac - Bronzing Powder in Golden
Blusher: Mac - Ombre Blush in Azalea Blossom
Highlighter: Mac - Mineralised Skinfinish in Lightscapade
Brows: HD brows in Foxy

Quick Tips on how to make your eyes look bigger:
  • Make your eyeliner thicker in the centre of your eyes, giving them a more rounded look
  • Use a nude colour eyeliner on your waterline, to make your eyes look larger than they are
  • Use white eyeshadow around your inner tear duct to make them appear brighter
  • Don't use dark colour on your eyelids! Use light colours and only use dark shades in the crease and in the very outer corner of your eyes to create a shadow effect
Eyes
Primer: Benefit - Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in My Brother's My Date
Eyeshadow: Sleek - Matts V2 / Urban Decay - Naked 2 Palette
Lashes: MAC - Plush Lash in Black / Benefit - They're Real
Eyeliner: Collection 2000 - Extreme 24 hour Felt Tip Liner in Black / Eyeko Skinny Liner in a Nude Pink Shade (not sure of the name!)
Lips
I hate taking photos of my lips... This is my go-to combination at the moment! MAC's Speed Dial and  MAC's Summer Shower! For people asking what Summer Shower looks like... its this ^ yes, its bright green in the tube but its shows as a gorgeous shimmer on the lips!

So that's it, when I'm rushing around getting ready for work, and I've managed to leave enough time for me to put makeup on... this is what I go for! Cute and Simple! Hope you guys like my post!

Disney Series: Ariel - The Little Mermaid!

Hey Guys!
To make up for being MIA I've got another look for you! I will be gone for the next few days again as I'm travelling but I should be posting more on Tuesday!
So here's another look for the Disney Series! I promise I will put out some looks that aren't Disney inspired, but I'm loving them right now! haha
Annnd here it is...

ARRRRIEEEELLLLL! It's the only way to say it. As if you were a Jamaican Crab...
She's so awesome... I now want to watch The Little Mermaid so much! It's got to be one of the only Disney films I don't have on DVD!
So this is my look! Greens, purple and Red/Orange... that's pretty much her right? I tried to find some inspiration online but I found it so hard! Hope you guys like my interpretation! One of my boyfriend's friends gave me the idea to do Ariel (thankyou!) whilst we were at the secret garden party and she was dressed as a mermaid...

As always I went for my trusty Sleek eyeshadow palettes. I used E.L.F primer, then NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk as my base, to make sure the colours stayed vibrant! The palettes I used were Matts V1 and the new i-Candy palette.

Eyeliner (which stains like a bitch) is from Collection 2000 and is in the shade Teal. Mascara as always in Mac's plush lash and Benefit's They're Real. Eyelashes are Eylure #100.
The little pearls (which I managed to cut off in this photo... well done Georgia, brilliant skills there) are from a Nail Art kit I picked up from either Topshop or River Island (I want to say the latter) and cost about £3 for a wheel with loads of different pretty gems in, these seemed to fit perfectly! I applied them using Duo Glue, which I picked up in the US for $5.
Just a few last pics, hope you liked my look! Completely out of ideas for the Disney Series at the moment so let me know in my comments below if you have any ideas, I would love to hear from you!
The purple looks so vibrant in this photo! No idea why it's come out so bright!

I hope you liked my version of Ariel!

Colour Pop for Green and Blue Eyes!

Hey Guys!
I really wanted to see what I could come up with using Aniseed from my Sleek i-Candy palette, because it's such an unusual colour with a beautiful shimmer, but red isn't an easy eyeshadow to use!
Unless you're going big and bright, I find it hard to fit into a look, however it does work really well with blue-greeny eyes, and makes them pop!
So, what I've done is added it into a smoky brown look! I hope you like it :)

I used so many different palettes, I don't know where to start! I used Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2 palettes, Sleek i-Candy, Beauty UK palette, Urban Decay Glinda Palette (I used the amazing gold under my lash line) and a single Mac shadow, which came out at Christmas in one of their Duos called Baby it's cold outside.

I used Urban Decay 24/7 pencil eyeliner in Perversion on my waterline and Collection 2000's extreme liner in Black to create a winged look.
Sorry about the slight yellow shadow under my lashes! I have a new light bulb which gives amazing white light but it's in a yellow lamp so it shows up a bit! Will have to get a new white one!

Aniseed left a very pretty glittery finish on my eyelid, I love how it mixed so well with the brown base I used, so it wasn't too red! My lashes are Eylure #100.
Just a few snaps below! I love how my eyes look so bright! Giving the red tint to my brown smoky eye definitely gave them an edge! And I love how the lashes looked in the third photo, love them!

Just a super quick smoky eye for you! I think I need to start doing more looks! I couldn't do them at night because my lighting was too yellow however since I put a new weird curly energy saving light bulb in my lamp, I've got amazing white light! Will definitely be doing more looks in the future!

Hope you like it! x
