Happy Endings...

Hello blogging world! Wow this is weird, I haven't done it in so long! I don't want to bore you with why I haven't blogged in ages but I basically lost all motivation and people brought me down. However, It's a new year and I have beautiful people in my life that make me smile and give me the encouragement I need to pursue my love of makeup! I feel like a very lucky girl!

Seeming I haven't done a makeup look in so long for you guys, I thought I'd start the year with one! I haven't really done them recently because I haven't had a decent camera but my wonderful boyfriend has kindly lent me his! Isn't he a sweetie...

I couldn't be happier with the quality of the pictures! I'm so fussy when it comes to lighting etc that it's nice I can relax so much with a camera! Please Click on the pics for a better look! They look amazing, I hate how they come up so small on here!

I've fallen in love with an OPI nail polish called Rally Pretty Pink, which is a gorgeous pinky, purple shimmer with a golden duo chrome, I would of uploaded a picture of it but it's a bitch to photograph so apologies! Anyway, my look is basically based on that polish, which I thought might be a cool idea for a makeup series? Corresponding makeup to your favourite nail polish... what do you guys think? (that's if anyone reads this! If you're like me, you just look at the pictures!)

The shadows are all a bit of a mix really. I started with Urban Decay PP, NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk and then patted on the purple shade from the Sleek Idivine Acid palette all over my eyelid and blended it out with MUA's shade 18. To draw attention to the centre of my eye I used Highness from Sleeks Ultra Matts V2 palette in the outer and inner corners of my eye and also lightly in the crease and blended out on my lower lash line. This alone looks amazing, but I love a bit of sparkle so I added UD's Half Baked to the centre of my eyelid and slightly blended it out. To Finish off I used Pillow Talk from Sleek's V2 palette as a brow highlight, UD's Perversion eyeliner pencil and Mac's black lash Push Lash mascara.

I didn't really know what to do with my lips so I went GOLD! I started with Natural Nymph from ELF, then applied a clear lipgloss and patted on Urban Decay's Half Baked eyeshadow. Finally I added Fairy Cake lipgloss from Butter London and lips are done. PS: WEIRD uploading a photo of my lips. I hate them!

And that is that! Look done :) I forgot how much I LOVE playing around with makeup and trying new things! I've recently bought loads from Urban Decay (fallen in love <3 again!) and can't wait to try out the Glinda Palette!

I think I'm gonna do a quick post from my phone at some time, just to show you all the looks I've done and stuck on instagram (soo lazy) because I really loved some of them! But I'm definitely going to start photographing them properly for you guys!

I hope you like it and can't wait to do another look! Please let me know what you think by writing a comment below :)

Love as always! x

Now you're just somebody that I used to know...

Hi Guys, this week I finally had a day off where I could meet up with my photographer friend and take some nice pics of my makeup :) *Oh Happy Days...*

So here you go :) I won't chat away... because if you're like me you only really look at the photos anyway! haha

This was look number one.. I did a couple of others but not sure how i feel about them yet... will upload one later :)

Just a very simple but very eye catching natural cut crease look created using an array of matte shadows from my ELF 6 in 1 on the go palette, which I am currently in love with! I wasn't expecting the shadows to be so pigmented!

Teamed with some bold brows, nude lips and bronzed cheeks I'm really happy with how this look turned out :)

Let me know what you guys think :)

Happy Valentine's Day! xxx

Anti-Valentines....

For any Valentine's Haters... here you go...

A very different look for me... not something I would ever wear out! A bit dark... but so gorgeous! And how simple can you get? 2 colours? Awesome. Another look using my ELF 6 in 1 on the go palette (or whatever it's called...) And I'm pretty excited about ELF bringing out a huge palette to hold them all in! DESPERATELY NEEDED!!!! I've managed to smash one of the eyeshadows already ¬_¬ Pissed off with myself to the max.

The colours in the palette's are insane! Some are so gorgeous and remind me a lot of the Nars eyeshadows.

I have my camera back but it still sucks... couldn't get a very good photo... sorry about that! Will be getting a new camera in the next few months... probably mid march? fingers crossed!

please click to enlarge images!

I was looking into doing a new series but now I'm not so sure... This would have been one of the looks! I was going to do a Vampire Diaries Series, and this beaut would have been my Damon... *dreamy blue eyes...* but yeah, I'm not so sure now! Really want to do a series >< will have to have a think :D

Any ideas on a series I could do? Would love some ideas!!!

Valentines Eye Makeup... No.1 Take 2.

Okay so this is the same as my first Valentine's look, I've just done the whole face instead of just one eye! haha Also, It's my birthday this weekend so need a look for when I go out! So was doing this as a bit of a test run! Please let me know what you think :)

If you want to see close up pictures of my eye makeup, there's a whole post on it two posts before this one!
Very simple look colour wise... white, black and a light brown/ nude. All you really need is a nice array of brushes and a felt tip eyeliner, You can get such perfect sharp lines!

The top picture is from my previous post, pretty much exactly the same eye but with bigger lashes and more glitter! I teamed it up with a LOT of glitter this time! And some huge thick black lashes from Eyelure! (No.107) When using a lot of black for a smokey eye I think you need to be a bit more daring with eyelashes and really go big! Without falsies I'd look like I didn't have any!
When there's so much going on with the eyes I find a nude lip very flattering, and makes sure all the attention is on your eyes!

aaaand because I can't help myself...

click to enlarge photos! They look much better... haha

I get way too bored in front of the camera....

If you want to know what I used for my eyes...
NYX jumbo pencil in Milk
ELF white matte eyeshadow (don't know if it has a name but it's my favourite white!)
No.7 Kohl Liner in Black
Sleek black matte eyeshadow
Maybelline Line Definer Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Noir - Black
Mac Plush Lash Mascara
Eyelure 107

Valentines Eye Makeup...

It might be a bit too soon to start worrying about Valentine's day, but if you want to look your best, it takes a little practise! So I thought, why not start now, and by then perfect the look?!

I found a very gorgeous eye shadow look on the Internet and immediately saved it onto my computer. I did this months ago and only just have enough confidence to try it! All the photos are only of my eye look though, It was very late at night when I did it and I didn't do a whole look! But will definitely do it soon!

This was my final look and I love it! I would have applied false lashes but lost my tweezers and seriously, I can't apply them without them! It's a very easy look to achieve! All you need is three eye shadows and a sprinkle of glitter!
I used NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk and a black kohl eyeliner as a base, then set the jumbo pencil with a white eyeshadow (my favourite from ELF, SO pigmented!) then blended and contoured with a matte black (from NYX) and a nude/light brown to soften the black below my brow bone. I added a little liquid eyeliner to my inner tear duct to create a cat eye and a few coats of MAC's zoom lash black last mascara.
Finally I added a little glitter to the centre of my eyeliner. I recommend NYX's glitter pots.

This was the look I was going for! How do you think I've done?

If I added false lashes I'm sure I never would have wanted to take it off! Will definitely be wearing it the next time I go out! It's very simple to do and looks fantastic! Very eye catching and perfect for Valentine's, don't you think?
Pair with some dramatic contouring and soft nude lips.

Pretty Please let me know what you guys think! Really do love hearing from you :)
