Lush Oxford Street! Haul and Make-up Review

Hey guys!
Yesterday I got to go to the brand new Lush store on Oxford Street! It was absolutely amazing! They opened the doors a day early for staff members which was so much fun, and it was great being able to mingle with other employees!

Here's just  a few pictures of the things I bought!

Yes... it looks like a lot! But trust me, I could have bought more! There's around 200 new products and although we were there for SEVEN HOURS we still didn't see them all! They kept getting deliveries with more products coming out constantly, I made 4 trips to the tills!

I really look forward to going back in a few months and seeing how it it all looks again, and being able to have a good look around when it's not so crazy!

I won't go into a lot of detail with what everything is right now, it would be a huge post! So I'll keep doing them as I use the products so I can tell you what they're like too :)

So far, I've used the make-up, I was so excited I had to! haha

Passion Fruit Lip Balm
Seriously tastes amazing and I can still smell it on my lips hours after I've applied it! It's beautiful and light so give you just a thin layer on your lips, instead of some balms which feel thick and heavy!

Shades of Nude
This little thing is a beaut. It completely confused me when I saw it but the lovely Kayley showed me how it worked and I fell in love! There is also Shades of Pink and Shades of Red which looked amazing but sadly there were only testers, none to buy at that moment in time.
What you do, is apply it straight onto your lips and use the different colours to create different shades of nude! It sounds so simple... how has no-one thought of this before?!

Zealous Jewel Shadow
Just like the shades of Nude, this is a product you apply straight onto your skin. The colour is a gorgeous turquoise with shimmer. It applies so creamy but sets just like a powder!

Faithful Lipstick.
I. LOVE. THIS.
I am a huge fan of Lush's lip colours anyway, but the fact they are now actual lipsticks makes me so happy! There are 29 colours and all are so gorgeous! Some returning favourites but in stick form such as passionate and decisive, some new like faithful (a dark pink, like passionate but without the shimmer) and Soul which is clear but all glitter!

Courage Eye Liner
So the eye liners have stayed in the same bottles as before but they've changed the formula and played around with the colours! This is one of the newbies in the collection. It's a gorgeous forest green with emerald shimmer...I love it!

Insight Earth Eye Powder
I am soooo happy Lush have come out with powder eyeshadows! These are beautiful! Applied dry they are like pure shimmers, but mixed with a mixing medium the colours really pop out and the shimmer is insane! Insight applied dry doesn't stand out much on its own, it has a lovely pink shimmer perfect for inner eye highlighting but when I mixed it with MAC's Fix+ this is what I got! A candy floss, shimmery pink shadow.

Carefree Eye Powder
I think this could possibly be one of my favourite eye shadows I now own...
Applied dry you get a blue/purple/pink duo-chrome effect but applied with Fix+ it looks like a shocking blue with purple/pink shimmer, absolutely beautiful!

So that's all the make-up I bought! I wish I got more but my bank would be after me..
I am now off for a lovely bath with all my lovely products and I can't wait to share more reviews with you!

Here's a few more pictures, things I'll review and a few of the day.

New Pretties From Born Pretty Store!

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone's in the Christmassy spirit! I'm so excited! Whilst I'm writing this I'm listening to 100 Christmas Hits for Kids! haha
This week I've received some lovely products for reviewing from bornprettystore.com which is an online store that sells everything girly going! They are located in China which makes shipping take 2-4 weeks to reach the UK, but mine arrived a lot sooner than I was expecting! I think it came in 2 weeks which was great.
They have a huge selection of makeup, nail polishes (including holos! happy girly...) nail art, jewellery, contact lenses, hair accessories, phone cases... the list goes on, and all at very reasonable prices with free worldwide shipping! How could anyone complain at that?

My first item was this P88 eyeshadow palette
For me that palette is amazing! I wanted this one in particular because the majority of the colours are matte which are my favourite to work with, and only a few have shimmer to them. I have already done a look using this palette, which I will upload very soon!
I was pleasantly surprised with how pigmented the colours were too! Payoff was great and not too chalky. It's currently on their site for £11.65!
I can't wait to do some more looks with this palette! Some of the colours remind me of Sigma Creme De Couture Palette, beautiful pastel shades.
Next were these lovely eyelashes! I like natural looking false lashes, ones that lengthen rather than weigh my eyes down! Princess eyelashes in M-3 are perfect for this. They have a clear strip at the top, which already makes them look a lot less fake than others and they are so light to wear.
I'm wearing these in my next eyeshadow look so you can judge them for yourself, but 10 pairs for £5.24, you can't really go wrong! One pair of my favourite eyelure lashes costs that!
My last product is this red 7pc brush kit. I'm usually picky with brushes and don't like buying them online because you don't know if they're going to be any good or not, but I wanted to get 3 items from born pretty store which I could use all together in a look, so I thought brushes were the best thing to try.
They come in a great travel bag which is definitely going to come in handy, with 7 red handled brushes. The first 2 brushes (smudge sponge and lip brush) are the quality you'd expect for £4.90 but I really like all the other brushes!
Going down, you have the smudge sponge thing, lip brush, stiff angled brush, fluffy angled brush, blush brush (perfect for contouring) stiff C brush (great for packing on colour) and my favourite out of them all, the fluffy pencil brush.
I love the last brush! It's great for adding eyeshadow into the crease and soo good at blending! It's bigger than a pencil brush but smaller than a blending brush... I love it, it's great! And the fluffy angled brush is wonderful too! These two will definitely get a lot of use!

Overall I'm actually really please with the products! Seeming the prices are so reasonable you expect the products to be a bit hit and miss, but I will definitely be purchasing some pieces from this site! I keep going on and finding new things I want to try out like their beautiful holographic nail polishes and some more eyelashes.

The lovely people at Born Pretty Store have even sent me a 10% off code for all you lovely readers!
Just enter GEG10 at checkout!
How amazing is that?!

Let me know if you go on their site/purchase anything and what you think of the products!
I will post a look using everything in this post ASAP!

American Makeup Haul!

Hey guys, thought I better get back into blogging properly!
Shopping for makeup in America was just amazing! I think my boyfriend got bored very quickly of me dragging him around the shops, but I've never been into a Sephora or Ulta before. OH. MY. GOD. It's like heaven! Everything was so much cheaper too! I loved it and can't wait to go back some day!
Anyway, here's some pictures of what I picked up, I can't wait to get some looks going! And sorry about some crappy photos! It started to get dark really early and my set up space sucked!

Well I hope you liked my purchases! I'm sure I'll do more detailed reviews of the products in the future and they'll all feature in some looks I'm planning!
I can't wait see what I can come up with!

MAC, Maybelline, Lush & Dainty Doll Haul!

Hey Guys!
Just a little post of my little haul! I went shopping in Cambridge last time I was up to get a few goodies for myself (I've been searching for the babylips lip balms for ages!) and I also got some bits for my Giveaway! But that's still top secret... just waiting for a package to get here then the giveaway can begin!
So onto the haul...
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
I've been needing a new concealer for some time and have heard great things about MAC's so going to give this one a go! Still don't think I've got the hang of it... but it does seems to cover quite well. I never seem to get the same results the MUA gets when they test it on you in the store, which I get really worked up about! Just going to have to keep trying. I do use a fluffy concealer brush to apply it, but it's quite tough! Going to need to invest in a new one...
But so far so good with the concealer! This is in the shade NW15, and leaves a flawless finish to your skin! Retails at £15.50

MAC Fast Response Eye Cream
I always get really dark circles under my eyes and I can never seem to get rid of them! Apparently this super-charged, caffeinated eye cream will work to tighten the skin under my eyes, 'de-puff' and reduce the look of dark circles. I've only tried this product for a few days so can't say if it works or not yet but will keep you updated! If nothing else, it feels amazingly soft! Although being £22 is a bit pricey...it better work!

Maybelline BabyLips
I have been looking for these for so long and could never find them anywhere! I search around superdrug for them and only found them when I went to the tills to pay! They were on a 3 for 2 promotion on the tills! Happy Days! I know they get a lot of mixed reviews but so far I love them. I've only used the Hydrate and Minty Fresh one so far, and I LOVE the Hydrate one. My lips have never been so soft! I was expecting the Minty Fresh Babylips to be like the EOS egg, which is very minty, but it wasn't as scented as I would have liked. EOS Eggs leave you feeling very refreshed so I was a little disappointed, but for £2.99 I was still very happy! Will definitely be trying out some more in the future.

LUSH Liquid Lipsticks

Ok, WOW. I dragged my boyfriend into Lush and started to look at these pretty little bottles. I've heard a bit about them but didn't know what they were like so was playing about and couldn't believe how pretty the pink colour was! It's so bright and has a blue shimmer to it which is amazing. But then I saw the price... £14.50! Thinking about it though... you'd pay the same for a MAC lipstick, and although the bottles look small, you'd probably get the same about of product out of it, so my boyfriend was very lovely and bought it for me. I started applying it when I got home like you would a lip gloss, and then realised my mistake. I only have a small drop of the product on my lips and realised how pigmented they were! I quickly grabbed my lip brush and managed to completely cover my lips with the smallest amount ever! It's amazing!!!! They remind me of OCC lip tars. I am in LOVE with these things!
My boyfriend remembered how much I also liked the shimmery orange so bought it for me at Waterloo Station when I went to get my train, isn't he lovely...I haven't had a chance to use it properly yet but if it's anything like Passionate (left) I'll be very happy!
The appropriately names Passionate, is a bright pink with blue undertones and a blue/purple shimmer. I wore this shade to work and got so many compliments! It stayed on perfectly from 4pm until 1am and I was eating and drinking over that time too... can't believe how great they are! It was a little drying, but I put lip balm on before bed so it's all good!
Vibrance hasn't got the same quality of pigmentation... it looks like sparkly orange jelly when wearing it! If you wait a few minutes, and add a few coats you'd have the sparkliest lips around! Personally I'd wear it over the top of an orange lipstick, my favourite being Mac's Sweet & Sour.

Dainty Doll Eyeshadows

I picked up 3 gorgeous Dainty Doll eyeshadows from POUNDLAND! WHAAAAT??? I also picked up about 4 OPI's!!! Crazy... loving poundland right now! Totally forgot to photograph the OPI's though! They're all shatters but if you've got a Poundland near you...GO! You will spend money.
The first one I picked up is Copacabana and it's a super bright, matte sky blue. Minus the mirror...
The second one I found, (it was all a bit of a mess, I had to hunt!) was Kingston Town. A shimmery Acid Yellow! I can't wait to use this shade, it's amazing!
And lastly, Teach Me Tiger, which I was hesitant to buy at first because it's a pretty safe colour, and I do like my brights but I got it anyway and I've been wearing it ever since! It's made it into my daily routine... I've been getting a lot of compliments on it too! Definitely worth picking up! I'll be posting a look soon which is based around using this colour - it's beautiful!

And that's ma'haul... If you're anything like me, you only look at the photos really... but I hope you liked my post! Another one to come tomorrow night fingers crossed!
